Biography

Amrr is a Cairo-based artist who’s broken through the underground music scene in Egypt and has been acknowledged as one of Cairo's most dedicated selectors. Known for his peculiarly rhythmic melodies and constructional mixing techniques, he enjoys dabbling in a wide array of genres, ranging from break-ish 90’s house to ear-punching electro. Having been introduced to DJing back in 2013, experimenting with minimal and deep house sounds, he started to grow interest in turntablism at the Egyptian local underground party ‘Sakanat’ back in 2018 and he quickly got recognized for his distinctive sounds after his debut with them which has claimed the interest of many.
